Classic Car insurance

    Does anyone know if Classic car insurance is cheaper than normal car insurance

    I am 23 .. provisonal driver (well only learning at present)

    so far the cheapest route is to get me as a named driver on my dad's policy around 2300, compared to 5300 as me a main driver

    on a
    1lt 97 Opel Corsa
    Dublin 5

    It's a lot cheaper (eg: my insurance is 450 Euro on a Porsche 944).

    However.......

    1. You have to be over 25 or 27 with most places.

    2. You can only get classic car insurance for a fixed mileage

    3. You can only get classic car insurance if you hold a regular policy on another car (i.e. you have to be insured normally on another car).

    4. The car must be more than 20 years old.


    So, tough **** m8.
