q2ctf hook aliases, long delay?

    Ok last post of the day as I'm going home soon and can actually play quake.

    Started playing a lot more q2 last weekend due to acquisition of v2 card, he he.

    Anyway, I was glad to see lots o people playing q2ctf on sunday.

    I got a prob with my grapple alias. It looks something like this:

    alias +grap "use grapple;+attack"
    alias -grap "-attack;weaplast"
    bind shift +grap

    (weaplast may be lastweap, i get confused, i'm old, its cold out, i want to go to bed ...)

    trouble is its so bloody slow, compared to q1 ctf. Is this just a fact of q2 life or what? It takes ages fro it to fire. Monkey type sh*t would be real tricky.

    Well, weapon changing is slower in q2 in general, if
    that's what you mean. RL/Thunderbolt-style hotswopping isn't too
    common for q2ers.. :)

    Stay on q2ctf.quake.ie if you can! I'm always looking for a
    game but everyone stays on ffa1 and arena1. poo..
