    Specs:
    gigabyte ga 7dxr+
    athlon xp 2100
cooler master hcc-002 solid copper HSF (noisey as ****)
    512 ddr pc 2100 ram
    PCI Slots
    -sound card
    -NiC
    AGP Slot
    -geforce4 ti 4200
    Codegen 300W PSU
    80mm exhaust fan.

The cpu temp is usually about 46c when idle and over 50 in full load. This seems fairly high to me. Is it.

What sort of cooling do you have.

Would a hot psu incrase the rest of a computers temp much?

except it has a copper base and is up to Xp3000

the psu will cause build up of heat inside the case raising the temperature of other components, have you got a fan taking air out at the top if your case.

If I leave my fans on very low after a half hour my CPU will be idle at 39/40.
