AGP 4x to 2x yay or nae?

    Very quickly, can you stick a 4x AGP card into
    a 2x AGP slot?

    I hope the answer is it will just run slower, but
    anything is better than the ATI rage 3d Pro

    Yes you _should_ be able to.

    An AGP x4 card or motherboard should support AGPx2 also. It's the general convention.

    An AGPx8 card or motherboard should support AGPx4 but probably not AGPx2.

    yea, stick the 4x into the 2x.


    little or no perfomance degredation with agp2x also ;)
