I'm just wondering does altitude have any effect on mobile phone coverage.

I work on the top floor of a building on Glasnevin hill so it's probably one of the highest points in the city, it's weird that I have the full five bars of coverage indicated on the phone but when calling people the transmission is always trash.

If I head downstairs there's never a problem.

    Just curious is all.
