The Carthaginians since Phoenicia is a region in the Levant, below Cilicia and above Egypt.

As for the answer, haven't a clue!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,319 ✭✭✭sci0x

It was the Carthaginians not the Phonecians.

Admiral Chengo Ho of the Chinese Imperial Fleet led a massive navy to the East coast of Africa.

And Julius Caesar did cross the Rubicon but since he left from Transpadanian Gaul, I assume he also crossed the Po...?

From where - geographical location will do - did Themistokles of Athens gain the resources necessary to build a hundred triremes to fight a war with Aegina (and subsequently with Persia) prior to 480 BC?

  • Moderators, Recreation & Hobbies Moderators, Science, Health & Environment Moderators, Technology & Internet Moderators Posts: 91,301 Mod ✭✭✭✭Capt'n Midnight

    The Ceders of Lebanon ?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,335 ✭✭✭Éomer of Rohan

No, it was from the silver mines at Laurion, in southern Attica.
The wood for the triremes so far as I am aware was brought from Macedon / Methone / Thrace.

Anyway, let's try a different tack...

What rather loose female informed Cicero of the Catilinarian Conspiracy in his year as Consul in 63BC?
