Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

glenn roeder suffering a minor stroke due to the intense pressure that he was under?

constantly berated by his own fans, his home attacked by vandals and a relatively young, fit-looking man ends up in hospital, because of a health scare. frightening. but what is surprising is that more managers don't suffer heart attacks/strokes or other stress-induced illnesses.

you need to be a certain kind of individual to take on the pressures of football management at top level. you must be bull-headed, belligerent and, if possible, possess a god-complex, ie fergie.

this incident could be a blessing in disguise for roeder - he should put his family and his own well-being first. he is not up to job of management. i hope this is a wake-up call for him and that when he recovers he will walk away from west ham. after all, it's only football.

Im sure when Roeder makes a full recovery he will make a decision that is right for him, his family and West Ham.

The list of managers hit the deck due to illness is getting ever longer. Barry Fry has had 3 heart attacks apparently!

If I were Roeder I'd get out and live the rest of my life.

    Mike.

I think the guy deserves better than he's getting from the fans, and more importantly, from some of the ingrates who play for West Ham.

If I were him, I'd tell them to shove their academy up their a**es, and find something less life-threatening.

Trevor Brooking has just been announced as caretaker manager for the rest of the season. Not sure it is a good move by him as they are going to go down.
