St pats and Brazil...hehe

    Chairman Andy O'Callaghan spoke with stpatsfc.com exclusively tonight regarding the exciting news of a possible Brazilian link-up for St Patrick's Athletic. The Super Saints are in discussions with Brazilian club Rio Branco relating to the possible link-up between the two clubs.

    It is understood that there is the possibility of St Pat's having access to a limited number of Brazilian players and both clubs will share ideas on coaching, fitness training etc.

    Only a few weeks ago, St Pat's secured the services of ex-Rio Branco player Paulo Rogerio Nicomedes for the season on a loan basis.

    The proposed strategic alliance has emerged following proposals put to both clubs by George Gray of CF San Paedro, a long time friend of new manager Eamonn Collins.

    Further details of the proposed link will be unveiled within the coming weeks.

    So "Just like watching Brazil" could be echoed around Richmond Park in the coming seasons and it is understood that the deal will run for up to 5 years

    In one of St Pats pre season games they had a 17yr brazilian old centre half who was a bit mad and did some funny things.
    Good fun if we got a player or 2 on loan.

    Its interesting alright, but I'd always be wary about these linkups.

    My mate spoke with this Gray chap and he seems sound enough though.
