    Good eve all,

    Well I've decided to be responsible about my 15,000 word dissertation and try and get it started over the summer. I'm doing Media Production in England, and I have a minor and Major project to complete next year, which are going to take up loads of my time, so for once I'm being a responsible student.

    Anyway the reason of this post is to ask people if they have an ideas of what I could/should write my dissertation on. It can be anything media related from a profile on a film maker to use of certain aspects in advertising/ programme making etc. I have a couple of ideas my self, but I said I'd ask here to see if anyone has any ideas.

    Thats about it,

    John

    <just a wee suggestion ...>

    what about doing something on "clockwork orange"
    from the book to the film... why it was banned and then a couple of years ago allowed to be shown...

    how the media has change the public over the years to allow it to be shown...

    probably a crap suggestion..

    Hmmmm interesting, I was going to do it on something like nudity/porn and the media. Kind of take the view that nudity is used to promote products, and is seen as being "Ok" where as you have nudity in films etc and it is censored...... or how is arty shagging different from porn films and all that type of stuff.... It might be a better idea for me to angle it towards a particular film.

    Cheers for the suggestion.

    An interesting topic would be the spin off feature film phenomenon, usually associated with a dying TV series, and related, the spin off TV series phenomenon (eg Cheers > Fraiser).

    However squeezing 15k from this, or indeed any other, topic
