    Could sound very interesting with Richard D James there, but Les Claypool would be too dominant of the rest of the musicians to the point of drowning them out. I think he should be best left as a fret **** spectical rather than a member of a proper band. I think someone like Tony Petitt would be far more suiting, being genuinely original, and not up his own arse.

    Could sound... Better?

    Thoughts Robbo? Or have I mangled your vision?

    I agree with that alright, in alot of ways Claypool would drown out most bands. I can't see him drowning out Vai or Petrucci though!! :D

    Given that was a post to Rock/Metal, there wasn't too much thought involved. Yes you have a point about Les Claypool drowning the rest out but I'd imagine all the rest would go out of their way to do the same to him in this completely spurious situation, based on no real thought whatsoever.
