Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,
I've had my 7650 for a few months now, with 02, but I've never actually connected it to the internet, per se, only via GPRS WAP & GPRS MMS.
What settings do I need to add in order to get direct access to the internet via GPRS, so that I can use the built-in e-mail feature, as well as use 'WebViewer' or 'IMplus'.
    Regards,
    Wesley

P.S. I did try search the boards for this information but it only seems available for vodafone, also I tried the o2 website, they have a service which sends you the configurations automatically for MMS & WAP but not for plain internet over GPRS.

hi - the settings are different if you are pre-pay (Speakeasy) or post-pay (Billed Monthly)

it's a good idea initially to call 1740 to check you have the GPRS internet access points enabled for your account

for post-pay customers you can use the internet or open.internet access points

for pre-pay customers you can use the pp.internet access point. although there seems to be some issues when new requests are made to enable this if other GPRS access points are already enabled for the account

    These should sort you out.

Settign up a new access point on the 7650, from the main menu:
Tools > Settings > Connection > Access Points > Options > New access point

    Name: O2 GPRS ISP
    Data Bearer: GPRS
Access Point Name: internet or open.internet or pp.internet
    Username: gprs
    Prompt Password: No
    Password: gprs
    Authentication: Normal
    Options
    Phone IP Addesss: Dynamic
    DNS #1: 62.40.32.33
    DNS #2: 62.40.32.34

    hth,
    BrianG
