Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Yes as a die-hard Liverpool supporter i gotta say Man u deserve the title.
Arsenal are throwing it away at the same time it has to be said.
Recently ive just got to hold my hand up and say Man u are playing sensational football,of course i hate saying it but credit where its due.
IMO RVN and Scholes are on a different planet, they are THE main players for Utd not Keane or Beckham.
RVN this season has shown to be a world class performer week in week out but my Man u player of the season would be Scholes ,the guy is lethal going forward and his timing of getting in the box is perfect.
Im a very peed off LFC fan but credit where it is due.
Fingers crossed LFC get CL spot and try to atract some big names who will want CL football.

Not sure if we deserve, not sure we will win it, but IF IF IF we do then feck it we will take it

Yeah I'd have to agree there. Any team that couldn't even beat Liverpool once this season don't deserve the title!

United definitely deserve to win it. A team that loses a 2-goal lead against Bolton with 10 minites to go does not. Arsenal won no friends with their arrogance earlier on in the season, United just got on with playing and are reaping the rewards now. Arsenal have completely blown it, they have crucial injuries and suspensions now so imo they are feckered. Serves them right.

PFA awards are on tonight, here's hoping JO'S wins young player ahead of Rooney. Unlikely though.

And United fans, I'm sure you'll be rooting for the mighty Pool to make the Champions League ;)

Not forgetting John'o shea, he's been the defender of the premiership this season. He's completely made of show of ferdinand all year, he's not half bad as a mid fielder either...

    Waaaaaaaaaaaan the Man U

luvly schtuff this evening - its great the way RVN really enoys his goals :) arsenal did surprise me with their arrogance - viera saying on the eve of manu-v-arsenal 'i know one thing - we're the best team in england'. he he he...now who's laughing. in fairness we weren't playing well at all before xmas...but we have really turned it around and got things back on track.

and yes...jonno is a great player. there are times when his link up with giggs on the left reminds me of the irwin giggs setup in its absolute prime - only better! now if we could just get steve carr/finan on the right.......

Looks like the arse are in the process of blowing it allright. Id have to disagree with Man U deserving it, they havent played as well as they can for long stratches of the season but in fairness they have come good at the right time.

Im biased, but i still think Arsenal are the better team, pity that the double is looking more and more unlikely now :(

its ours now. 4 points from 2 games min. if we can stuff charlton (ahem ahem) then we should know before kick off against everton if we have won it.
either way, i can see us not winning it now.
    HATE THAT GOONERS!! hahahahahaha:D

As the old saying goes: The table never lies.

If you finish top then you deserve to win the title. You dont win it by playing well from Xmas till May. You win it for performances over the whole season.

United had some excellent results before Xmas but they just werent getting them on a regular basis. Their form since losing at Boro on Stephens Day has been brilliant but its not as if they were in 10th place back then.

United definitely deserve the premiership this year.

do you remember teh (i think) 98 season when arsenal went on a fantastic run of winning 8 games in a row or something and winning the title .. looks like utd will do teh same .. i reckon by the end of teh season utd would have won the last 9/10 matches ... the only match they would have dropped points was arsenal

Isn't that what he said. Jonno on the left and get Carr or Finnan on the right?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 87 ✭✭feldy

how in the name of god did carr make it on to the team of the year?

ok, he is a good player, and when at the top of his game, he really does do a good job, but he hasnt played well this year at all....

ok, i am a mayoo fan, and not that i like the nevilles or anything, but i think gary neville had a great season this year. why not him? not only that, but if oshea spent his time on the right, no one would touch him. how he diddnt win young player of the year is beyond me.

and shearer as best player of the decade? BOLLOX

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,164 ✭✭✭Space Coyote

Why not Shearer for best player of the decade? Who else is there thats still playing at the top level ? I can't believe Jenas got Young Player of the year though. WTF ! I know they had to vote in January but still. Jenas ! Ridiculous.

And feldy, what's a Mayo fan doing talking about soccer ? ;)

i agree but the world cup incident probably diddnt do him any favours

player of the decade should go to peter schmeichel imo!!!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,093 ✭✭✭woosaysdan

oh yeah man utd rule england again

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,164 ✭✭✭Space Coyote

Peter Schmeichel, the Man City goalie. What's he ever done. I know he let in a lot of goals this season, but that's no reason to give him a medal...
