Interleaving and Eircoms 1mb service.

    Are they ever going to turn it off or will I have to downgrade to 512/128 just to be able to play games online with a decent ping.

    Was wondering the same thing, friend mailed them but no reply as of yet.

    Could always get www.netsource.ie , they have 1mbit without interleaving switched on. You don't have to buy a new router or anything, though you would have to pay the installation cost again €165 grrrr..

    Have just been told by Eircom that interleaving is on all their packages and not reduced on any.

    Contradicts what people have said and posted ping wise in the above sticky.

    Hmm, those pings posted by 2 different people don't look anything like interleaving pings though.

    It hasnt been turned off on any of the packages. But it has been reduced on the 512 RADSL Package. Louise from Netsource posted the details on the IOFFL board.

    Also, the 1MB service from Netsource doesnt have interleaving turned off. They are reselling Eircoms products, if its turned on with Eircom....its turned on with Netsource.

    I mailed "Louise" and specifically asked about this and was told that it's turned off with ALL their packages...

    "Good afternoon,

    Thank you for your e-mail. Interleaving is switched off for all DSL services, including our premier package, which includes the following:

    No download limits

    A fixed IP address

    2 Month rolling contract

    Interleaving turned off

    e-mail and telephone technical support"

    Would she be lying or is your information incorrect?
    Gah she did indeed li0r to trick me.
