ADSL and newly built house

I will be moving into a newly built house (no existing phone service) in June/July and my local exchange (Tullow Co.Carlow) is unlikely to be adsl enabled by then.

Question is should I get ISDN and then downgrade to analogue to get ADSL or should I stick with analogue and get ADSL when available?

Are there any real positive or negative points to doing it one way or the other apart from the connection times and speed on ISDN?

Is there a list of which exchanges will be enabled when?

    Thanks
    Mick
