Cancelled my eircom broadband

    Hi,
    As the header says I cancelled my eircom broadband install today,
    After ordering on April 11th at 9am they have still failed to send me
    The self install starter pack or enable my phone line.

    I’ve connected eircom multiple times for updates on where my starter
    Kit was and when my line would be enabled, each time I was told that
    My starter kit would be with me tomorrow and that my line was going
    To be enabled tomorrow, I was told this until I realized that I was being
    Told lies and asked to speak to the supervisor and then the manager,
    The manager told me that my line would be enabled on the 7th of May
    But also said that it may be the 11th or 12th of May.

    At this point I decided to cancel my order and go with either Netsource
    Or EsatBT, although EsatBT are cheaper and offer a 5gb cap Netsource
    Are about 10euros more than eircom but their service is uncapped.

    I’ve waited for a DSL service for over 3 years so I might as well wait
    Another month for a decent one.

    Agreed. Nothing worse than a company that doesn't have a clue what's happening with your order! Netsource does seem to be a miles better option than Eircoms...

    What's with the capital letter on every line may I ask? :)

    Think I will cancel my eircom i stream enhanced 1mb and switch to esat bt. As soon as I can get some proper answers about interleaving!!!.

    My guess is that s/he starts off shouting and just withers to a whisper by the end of the line (just like one of my old lecturers) :p

    Anyway, seems a good idea. Why pay more for less?

    Me? I'm not even gonna place my order until my exams and project are finished! (Should disconnect from the net completely but I don't think I'd handle the information underload!)

    OK, I have to admit I've 'expressed my interest' in EsatBT's ADSL offer already. But I haven't ordered.

    Sorry about the caps at the start of each line, wrote it in MSword and copied it in to window.

    the thing that bothered me most about eircom was that they just couldn't care less about me as a customer, and I'm not just talking about the people anwsering the phones but the supervisor and the manager.

    after all, if they don't have customers then they don't have jobs, plain and simple just like the supervisor and manager.

    I did too. ****en load of jokers. And there a rip off. Im going with esat cos 66 is too much to pay a month...lets not get carried away regardless of a cap or not. Esat it is. 5gb is plenty for me anyway!
