    AFAIK eircom use Alcatel equipment...http://www.eircom.ie/bveircom/pdf/adsl.pdf,
Alcatel ASAM 7300's...one would *ahem* think that they also bought the service module...

    > Alcatel 5620 AxiOSS DSL Service Module (DSL SM),
With OSS automation, using the Alcatel 5620 NM, provisioning
is 100 percent accurate on the first pass, and only 38 seconds
are needed to establish an end-to-end service. The Alcatel
solution enables 35,000 DSL subscribers to be provisioned in
    less than one week
and 20 end-to-end paths to be configured
    per minute.

    *cough*

So...maybe reading the manual might be an idea???:D

Incidentally this ASAM will support up to 2.3Mbs g.SHDSL - maybe we'll get that rolled out sometime *looks hard at ComReg*
