As the title suggests, everyones a fan once they read, so why not prempt the demand and open a Discworld community or sub-section under literature or Sci/fantasy in the Arts?

Might be a nice idea,especially if we could nurture a bit of fan fiction.

I seem to remember Rope/drink was keen on doing something along these lines on afterhours a while back.

Might be a nice quiet area of boards where strange things grow.

Could be good or bad, in all honesty I cannot see much traffic for it though. In all my (short) time here I have participated in I think all of the discworld threads and let's just say that my fingers aren't exactly bleeding from the amount of responding I have had to do ...

Have played both of the RPGs and quite enjoyed them btw.

If it were used for creating TPish fantasy then I reckon it could not be a bad thing and I cannot imagine too many people playin the part of Spammy the Spamming Spamhound from Spamtown (©® Could be a character in my soon to be released novel) on said board.

If this venture were to come to fruition then I would obviously have to put myself (reluctantly) forward as mod

Preempt? Its not like hes a new author. Over 20 books and there isnt a huge amount of traffic on the literature board about him.

I love TP, but theres better places on the web for this sort of thing

(That discworld mud is good fun - **** engine tho )

oh dear, i just happen to have all of his books, so i would have to agree. whether or not it will get the traffic, i dont know, but i guess terry pratchett releases books more often than theres a lord of the rings movie, so why not.
sure, you can always lose it again if its not as popular.
