Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

BBC Free to Air could spark further free to air options

    Hi all.

As i'm sure many of you know BBc will be going Free to Air with all their digital channels.

The reason behind this is the extra charges Sky were adding year on year to be on their service.

The BBC option could in all likely hood move to include ITV. However ITV's contract is not up with Sky for a year or so.

Further channels will likely move also. The decreased fees and free basis of the service will in theory offer these smaller channels more advertising exposure and revenue.

The feeling is here that the BBC free to air option will become a very competitive option not just now but even more so in the future.

    JM

Wonderful. Moving to the ICDG Satellite forum (where it may well be locked as there are quite a few threads on this issue already)

The issue for the Beeb was the EPG & encryption charges (given that it was costing them money to be on Sky, as opposed to say, the Flextech channels, who make a few pennies from each subscriber to cover their EPG charges.

Moving it anyway (it being sweet bugger all to do with IOFFL)
