laptop harddrive enquiry?

lo.. I have to relace a frazzled Toshiba laptop drive, which is EOL, so I have to find another suitable new drive. The old one is an 9.5mm UDMA66, can I replace it with a standard 9.5 udma100?? thanks. M.

Should be no probs.. just transfer to your hdd caddy.. it might only work at 66 as its probably a system limitation

Cheers saruman... I reckoned it would be backward compatible, plus there is a bios upgrade as well JIC.

yea, it will work fine. Difference between 66 & 100 is debatable anyway!
