    If you know someone with the disk then you can just install off thier disk and then add as a trial member (you get a new key).

    However after 10 days they charge you around $20 (the price of the game) which is seperate of the monthly fees.

    Basically KK (Development house) sourced out all the other parts to different companies (eg, DB management, Distrubution, Payment system). So the fee goes to the group that have the distrubution contract so they aren't out of pocket from online downloads vs buying in the shop. Although after the p!ss poor selling of the boxed set they shouldn't get it.
