Hettyfield is a 4500-line concentrator in South Lodge, not far from the roundabout at the bottom of the Well Road. It serves some of Douglas, but it mostly covers Ballinlough.

and if so is it broadband enabled?

    No.

If not does anyone know when broadband will be available in Ballinlough

Conflicting reports. Eircom say "a few weeks", which implies June at the latest; whereas Netsource say August.

That exchange was supposed to be done last month but who knows with eircom.

Eircom has effectively only just restarted their rollout program, but Hettyfield appears to be scheduled now at least. Unfortunately though, it looks likely that only RADSL will be served out of the exchange; and it won't be unbundled in the foreseeable future.
