Do you burn with a CDRW or DVD-R or DVD+RW

Myself Cdr at the moment. Soon to upgrade to a DVD-R/+R writer.

    Have a Plextor PX-1640T 16/10/40
    My first burner, love it.
But have had major hassle getting it to run in UDMA33 mode with the jumper hack under Win2kPro SP2, running firmware 1.05, 40-core cable.

Use a DVD burner (pioneer 104) which does CDR and CDRW (think all dvd burners burn CDR?). Normally burn everything onto DVD - 4.7 gigs in 30 mins - Saves me buring 7 CDRs !

I have the HL-DT-ST CD-RW GCE 8240B - basically the 24x writer (don't know why they use that coding above). It's actually LG Electronics. Picked it for a hundred quid when old 4x Philips failed. The LG's worked v well, does CD Text, Underrun protection, etc., .
