DDE Server Window error on Shutdown

    Hi folks,

My PC's been acting up all day and I'm looking for some help.

When I start up, Internet Explorer is automatically launched and I can't seem to stop this happening. Also whenever I used to shutdown IE it would prompt me with a "Autodisconnect" Window which no longer seems to be appearing.

I think both these problems are related to the following: when I shut down I get a "DDE Server Window" error and it asks me to Wait or End Task. By closing all applications and terminating all processes it seems to be that IE is the culprit - but how do I get rid of this message.

Any help whatsoever would be appreciated.

    I'm using Win 98 and IE5.

    Cheers,

    Earthhorse
