Vodafone GPRS problems

Ive a GPRS enabled phone, a Samsung S300, ive inputted the correct GPRS settings into the phone, but when i go to connect, it says "Service not available". Do Vodafone have to enable GPRS on the SIM or can my phone be incompatible?

You have to ring vodafone customer service and get them to enable your GPRS account for it to work. (ring before 8pm)

Its not necessary but if you have an old 16k sim card , you might have to get a new 32K sim card. But my GPRS works fine with a 16k card.
