Bit of a strange question and mostly aimed to either PORNAPSTER or AngelWhore

Arch Enemy - female voalist - just wondering which of their songs or even albums does she do most of the singing.

The reason I ask is simply my daughter wants to know what female singers sounds like in a heavy metal band (as she put it)

So if you either of you or in fact anyone recommend Arch Enemy songs or albums where she features heavily, that would be great.

Aswell, what other bands out there do have prominent female vocalists???

p.s arch enemy's song Burning Angel - male or female vocalist? or both?

Her first and only album so far with Arch Enemy was "Wages of Sin".

If your downloading any of the songs (which I do not recommend ;) ) here is the tracklist for "Wages of Sin":
    1) Eneny Within*
    2) Burning Angel*
    3) Heart of Darkness*
    4) Ravenous*
    5) Savage Messiah
    6) Dead Bury Their Dead*
    7) Web Of Lies*
    8) The First Deadly Sin*
    9) Behind The Smile
    10) Snow blind (instrumental)
    11) Shadows And Dust
    12) Lament of a Mortal Soul*

    * = Recommended songs

Other bands with female vocalists would be Lacuna Coil and Nightwish.

you telling me she is the only vocalist? I have Burning Angel, and I have never heard a female sound like that - quite amazing

Heh... I wouldn't like to get in an arguement with her thats for sure. Shes quite foxy though.

Yeah she is the only vocalist. I think Chris Amott will be doing some clean vocals on their new album though.

i read in Metal Maniacs a piece on Arch Enemy, someone was sayin that they heard the demos of the new singer and thought "wow hes got a great voice!" then it turned out to be a woman.

Useless fact of the Day #17

Arch Enemy rock IMHO, ravenous is a brilliant song, but thats off topic :)

SInergy also have a Female vocalist (bloody good one, great guitarist aswell).

Nightwish also have a female (opera) vocalist, however their not 'heavy metal' (what a blunt term).

They had a different vocalist before the last album.

Although if you're looking for a metal band with an extremely good female vocalist, I can certainly reconmend Opera IX. The singer has some amazing range. Although they got a bloke now on the last album, which I haven't heard.
