I Been using winamp 2 forever.
Any other music programs i've happened upon have been terrible. Winamp 3 doesn't do it for me. All i want is a simple and functional audio player!

    What do you use?

winamp 2.81 all the way, easily the least resource hogging music player i've tried

    /edit
woohoo, winamp 2.91 has finally arrived...

ah back in the day when they were the two main types...wait a minute they still are. Think winamp is still the best tho, still i miss the pitch adjuster :D

The Sonique site is a bit crap, and having to sign up to download, what a jip!

I'd have to vote for Winamp 2 aswell. 3 is just bloatware. That said I'm using MusicMatch Jukebox at the moment because I prefer its tagging functionality. But when I've my collection tagged, I'll be going back to Winamp 2. Or I'll have written my own by then.

I thought music match was spyware?

You could try XMMS. Dunno if it's out for windows though, but works fine.

i use a plugin called ntpitch for adjusting the pitch of a tune.
very handy for those times when you just want to play a song at +16%

Why would you want to do that?

winamp3 has been abandoned. Instead they're backporting all its features to winamp2. I think when they've finished doing this they're going to call the result Winamp5 or something.

They should look at adding features that are useful instead of all the fluff!

i can only download the lite version in college (they've got some kind of restriction on files over 500k:mad: )
no real difference between this & 2.81...

To be fair now, all the features are useful.
The Library is deadly, still need work though.
As far a video is concerned, i wish they didn't add that feature but i'll probable use it a good bit anyway!
