This game is too addictive :)

Well ive had BF since release but was on 56k,nuff said !.
Ive since got isdn and downloaded all patches and thanks to Combatcow ive got DC also.
Ive re-installed everything and sorted out my connection problems.
All i can say is this game and DC are out of this world.
I cannot stop playing it,it is so bloody addictive.
One can never get bored with the huge scope and variety the game offers.
If only i could fly better [im getting there though].
Im getting a solid 40-80 ping on big servers like Jolt etc.
Lastnight i joined a server at 9pm and was still on it at 3 am
I gonna try get 0.35 tonight ,fingers crossed.

I love this game, but on large servers my FPS drops to insane amounts, I have commonly got an FPS of under 10 (constant), and it commonly just freeze's for about 5seconds. Even if I run 20% texture detail, everything as low as it can go, all pretty effects off and on 800x600 res......... quite a bugger actually, Id play the game loads more if the FPS was better, curse my old cr*ppy comp

No mate i just reinstalled after i got isdn a couple of months back but only recently came back and sorted my pings out.
I found that if you use ASE etc pings are poor but if you join a server ingame pings are superb,strange i know but it defo works for me.
I type in Jolt etc for filter, hit apply filter tab and all Jolt servers pop up instantly,same for bygames.com,boomtown or EAUK.
My pings are superb on all the above servers and stay that way 100% of the time im playing.

Pugsley m8 im getting a solid 60fps on 32 player servers,all settings to medium and 60% texture detail,sound is set to low of course.

PS: Desert Combat gets better and better the more i play it

Must be something wrong with netsmart then, i go into the ingame browser and the pings are way to high even to uk servers, in the 1000's, ill have to give em a ring and sort this out,

I really do need to scud somebody badly

You probably arent running as bad as comp as a 900mhz athlon and a GF3 ti

Id love to give DC lost Village ago with yous lot...its such a great map

I've also had it since it was released but i've yet to actually play it yet:rolleyes: I got it working on my pc and my bro plays it and it looks like great fun i must say. I will give it a shot someday.

Does the latest patch fix that problem it had with default screen resolution frequency at the load up?

just got me dsl installed a few days ago and downloaded this demo for the fun of it. Gota say its the best fun I've had online in ages. i can't fly for $hit so i make a good kamikaze pilot

I do see a few gob$hits sometimes killing their own team, but for the most, its great. Also, on full servers with 32 players, the frames per second goes really slow, thats the only thing I dont like bout it

(pentium3, 500mhz, 256ram, nvideo2)
