    google.ie (or.com)
    ireland.com or
Anyone know what I can try to fix this? (and don't say IOL!)

Any chance of letting me know what bits and pieces you downloaded coz I've got a D-Link modem and I'm still having problems connecting to lots of websites

I think it's more an exchange issue rather than a modem issue, I think there was a thread about IOL users having the same problems with different pages a while back.

the pieces I downloaded were unrelated to my connection.

    I'm having similar problems.

Would anyone on istream like to try www.irishaviation.net for me?
    Also www.pprune.org ?

I spoke to tech support and they want me to send tracerts to these urls from my dialup a/c to help diagnose the problem. Don't know how that will help, but I guess thats why I phone tech support and not the other way round :)

The tech guy did state different users have probs with different sites.

I also had this bother with IOL, but their tech support bods eventually just stopped replying to my e-mails without ever solving the problem!!

    BTW, I've also got a D-Link modem.
