    If you're running Apache you could use .htaccess to password protect it.

    What Control panel do you have

    Plesk?
    Cpanel?

    I think there's an option in Cpanel to protect directories, though I'm not 100% sure.
    In any case if you do a google on .htaccess there are plenty of tutorials OR you can get a little script that would do it for you.
    Another option would be to use a Php/MySQL version....
