    I like computers and cars! I can build a computer from scratch blindfolded, unfortunately I can't do the same with a car!

    Does anyone know any good sites about the guts of cars? Wanna learn. I don't even know what a timing belt is FFS!

    http://www.howstuffworks.com wouldn't be a bad start for someone who's clueless about the workings of motor cars.

    There's also a very good book which you might consider:
    "Fundamentals of Motor Vehicle Technology" by V.A.W. Hillier - any good library or bookshop should have a copy. If you are technically minded, it should be easy enough for you to read and understand.

    Just a quick google returned the following:

    Also you could try Dorling Kindersley, they do a range of cdrom's and books, explaining how things work in a simple to understand format.

    Don't know if you have a car or not, but you could try picking up a copy of the Hayns manual for your car at a motor factors/car accessory shop...
