omgg, mine just shot upto 14 GIG, and it was 2 gig yesterday, thats bigger than my hard disk capacity!

    14 gig - 4 gig = 10gig over cap

    10gig = 10*1024mb = 10240mb

    10240 @ 3c a meg = 30720 c = €307.20

plus you monthly fee = €362.20 for eircom i-stream this month looks like.

So in conclusion, it's a bit costly.

This can't be anywhere near accurate. The largest file I've downloaded has been 176MB. Throw in a few MP3's and that's about all I've downloaded. 38.2GB is total rubbish.

You cant prove that', Eircom never make billing mistakes as you know and as Biddy will gleefuly tell you when you query the bill.

Your cap is 4Gb , so far you are 34.2Gb over @€;36 a GB incl VAT

Start Saving now. Watch the rugby at home this weekend, not in the pub.

Eircom ain't getting a penny more than €54.45. I know I haven't downloaded anywhere near my limit. They can cut me off if they wish - I'll just sign up with a better (uncapped) ISP.

    heh! it's kinda funny. kinda.

but on a totally serious note, €ircon can't/won't
actually make ppl pay these bills? it would be completely
ridiculous, especially since they've admitted they are in error...
and they'd loose even more customers left, right and
centre. plus, they'd get nailed by regcom. wouldn't they?

start lookin for lawyers lads :D

as i said above its an eircom error, simple. No chance in hell i got that much.

  • Registered Users Posts: 196 ✭✭-Wheeler-

Just got an email from i-stream support stating : "There may be an issue at the moment with the site which is currently under investigation."

From experience that sounds like eircom speak - in english this sentence means "Yep, the site is totally f####d"

They are checking it out and are going to get back to me.

    We'll see.

If they messed up once they'll mess up again. ...And if they can't keep a reliable total on what you download each month, how can they bill ANYONE for going over the 4Gb cap? Maybe they'll just have to go uncapped sooner then they might have planned!

They seem to have fixed the problem now, with mine showing a much more reasonable 1826Mb as opposed to 38.3Gb. Thank God for that !

Not going NEAR this Eircrap product.

    Any problems with Esat BT's?
