    PROSTITUTION DEBATE!

    ... erm... <sorry>

Cloud Watching was always fun. As was Music Appreciation. Also Net Surfing was a good waste of time. :) Debates were fun until 2001 when all free will and opinions were censored and the RA's got all moany and stupid.

Will think of more old favourites later. For now bed... hmm... a "Nap Time" activity?

Super-Happy-Giant-Fun-Chess was fun. I'd like to suggest Go-Back-To-Your-Room-And-Do-Nothing-For-A-While.

I enjoyed meditation, "board games" ;), the properly organised debates (esp. the Afghan war one from Session 1,2002) and "feck off over this side of the Res if you don't want to do anything".

Cloud watching, an absolute classic that you HAVE to bring back
Archery would rock as well, and I know that Podge will be there with a bow and arrow so why not teach it to us as well?

  • Registered Users Posts: 337 ✭✭Green Hand Guy

Back in the old days cloud watching was always fun.
Or maybe they could introduce a "Build and Army of Cyborg Grannies and Use Them to Take Over the World" activity.
Or there's just the good old fashioned "Make the Medicine in the Lab people drink one of their own mixtures" activity.

  • Hosted Moderators Posts: 11,362 ✭✭✭✭Scarinae

    What is Merkin hunting?
Thats so weird, I just posted in a different thread about cloning an army of grannies and then I see in this post someone else had a scarily similar idea. Maybe Green Hand Guy is my identical twin, separated at birth, or maybe the ideas were put in our heads by aliens who are planning to engineer our own destruction by getting us to create a race of super-grannies who will ultimately destroy us all!!

    Aye Sven. Aye. AYE.

I suggst cloud debating. Eg - You look at a particular cloud and the group debate what it looks like. The person with the least common judgement gets ostracized.:ninja:

I think it was Cian Brennan. And he said that in some ways Hitler had been right, what with the whole stamping out communism and everything. And in some way i could see where he was coming from, but no, national socialism was as wrong as communism.
And then one of the Ras, i think it was john, called us a bunch of hypocrites for stamping on this guy's idea.
    Idiot.

NOW i remember the guy. he went to school with...someone(struggling to remember who). and he's not the roscommunism guy either. that guy was hairy, and wore glasses i believe. he probably Would have had a valid point if he hadn't got so embarrassed. he should have worded it differently. i think the RA was dermot, or possibly rory.
it could've even been adam, cos he was there too that day for some ungodly reason. *shudders* if he's there this year in his shorts with his roller blades, i'll get a stick and i'll go *throws stick in his path* and he'll fall, FALL i tell you. wha ha ha ha ha ha...
*composes herself* but it's not fair that no-one else was allowed bring rolerblades. and he annoyed me.

and to reiterate an earlier point: HOCKEY, THERE SHOULD BE HOCKEY!!!

  • Registered Users Posts: 337 ✭✭Green Hand Guy

I'm pretty sure the RA was Rory. I remember that debate well. I offended practically every american in CTYI by saying that all they wanted to do was destroy anything new in case it became more powerful than them. That was fun.

    yeah...americans...that was funny.

Heh... i remember one debate which left some lass crying. Someone had stated that the American involvement in WWII was purely to "ring the bell on Wall Street" and she burst out crying. Her grandfather had died in WWII. Which obviously had had some horrible pre-birth adverse affect on her life... ???

<ahem> ... anyway... that was memorable. It's a pity you won't have Galen at any of your debates. :D Those were the days.

FREE FARM ANIMAL SEX!!!! :D <sorry... in a very CTYI mood right now>

  • Registered Users Posts: 337 ✭✭Green Hand Guy

    Which one? There were two.

You weren't at Session 1 Barry. I'm pretty sure there was only one.

  • Registered Users Posts: 87 ✭✭ceewa

    Uhmm... Daire Galligan Appreciation.

Failing that, try to get Magic: the Gathering Appreciation, or something. Ah, for the days in 2001 of whipping Hou-man with Counterspells.
