    Clare County Council has refused planning permission for the Lisdoonvarna Music Festival.

    The event, due to be headlined by Christy Moore, was due to return on June 28 after an absence of twenty years.

    The Council cited traffic congestion, unsuitable car parking and noise levels as reasons why the festival cannot take place.
    I was looking forward to it too... :(

    Aiken Promotions to relocate Lisdoonvarna Festival following Clare County Council’s decision to refuse the Licence Application,
    Fans need not be disappointed as Aiken Promotions will be announcing an alternative venue within the next 72 hours and all tickets already purchased will be valid for this new venue.

    LISDOONVARNA in the RDS, I've never been to it, but I can't see how it will be anything like it's supposed to be.
