Either y'all are so pyst off with netsource that y'all disconnected, or the problem's been fixed...

Either way, I'm back up to 90% previous bandwidth (serious improvement over last week's 56k speeds) and 35ms jolt pings.

Way to go, Netsource, hope it stays like this!

And I just got 451kbps on IBBs bandwidth test.

    Looks promising atm.

Want to confirm this for us Thomas? I can see you lurking there. :)

Downloaded 5MB file from download.com at 49-55k/sec avg

I used the ADSLguide.org speed test
    Downstream 422 Kbps (52.8 KB/sec) 455 Kbps (inc. overheads)
    Upstream 105 Kbps (13.1 KB/sec) 113 Kbps (inc. overheads)

The router says i'm connected 512/128, loop distance 4kfeet

Impressed so far, the guy who installed was very professional and thorough.

Wait. Let's not get carried away. If they disconnected everyone earlier today, it's highly likely that most of the users haven't reconnected yet. Anyone who left their machine on Kazaa or whatever while they went to work won't be back on.

I swear I can feel some PR lingering in the air.

Very nice Netsource, I was getting worried for the last few days but if this is anything to go by, you've done a good job. Nice one ;)

It's a welcome development and a good sppeed is a perfect partnership for a company that obviously understands good customer relations.

I just hope we are not seeing an incremental "just in time" strategy being employed by Netsource as it builds it's business . . . . . allocate a limited chunk of bandwith to the customers until they choke... then buy another increment of bandwith until they choke again . . . etc. etc.

If they do it'll really piss people off and drive them back to the big two.

If they want to build a real and successful business then they need to be proactive and anticipate and cultivate satisfied customers instead of hacking them off on a regular basis...

    Hears hoping ;)

    Well said.

Judging by how much bitching and whining we get here, despite the fact that Netsource told us they were gonna solve the problem, they'll have very little shortage of feedback.

Can I just take a moment to applaud Netsource for getting someone to read and post to this forum? That's what's called having your finger on the pulse, and anyone will tell you that's the key to a successful business.

Well I just got home from work and went online ( as you do) well I didn't need to check Boards.ie out to tell me that Netsource has got extra bandwidth

The test page loaded in 8.542 seconds, indicating a throughput of 458373bps

now if Netsource don't take on any more users this broadband thing should be quite good.

    Nice one Netsource.
