Is it a bad thing to move the "memory.dmp" file from the winnt folder to a different drive to clear some space on the c:\ drive????

You can delete both, NT4 will make new ones on the next reboot

Control Panel - System - Startup / Shutdown

Untick the box that says "Write debugging information to.."
    - 'cos when it blue screens (not if) it will do a memory dump to a file the size of your RAM.

Note: If you are dual booting to 98 etc. you can delete pagefile.sys using the autoexec.bat - or better still there is a reg setting to get w98 et al. to use the NT swapfile - so you can have one for both..
