    Hi all,

With all these horror stories flowing around, has anyone been setup with BB in the Mervue/Shantalla exchange.

What are the ping/Contention like?? and who seems to be the better company to go for. I have chosen Netsource for the time being but I am still waiting to get Connected.

    Tks,

    Dwayne

I've been on the mervue exchange since november with Esat
paying through the nose but it's top quality.
You should probably be able to subscribe to the 49.50 offer where they resell Eircom's wholesale offering.

I went early, couldn't wait, and got the 512k unbundled loop offer.

I have never yet had an issue with the connection.
I have always been able to download at ~64KB/s depending on the capability of the site I'm downloading from.

pings are always good as far as I've seen.

I can't talk about the (much cheaper) wholesale offer though as it's probably through eircom's equipment and stuff. I asked if I could switch but I was told I was in a year contract and it would involve a re-install with all the costs that involves.
