    Just to add:
Improved CRC content checking which allows the server administator the option to include client side modifications but still block client side cheats.

It seems to boggle the mind more about this Content Check yolkie.. does this mean mods will be allowed? Have EA realised how they would eliminate most of the BF community by switching them on? Im still very much so lost.

Also, i have heard EOD is on its why and bfcentral have setup two servers for it... id say possibly this week?? Must be VERY soon though :D

Also shinzon. i dont think the patch has been officially released. Its just been leaked, same as how the 1.3 patch was leaked by EA Taiwan. Probably an employee gets fired so without anyone knowing gave the patch away :D .. i dont know how they are leaked but this is the second time its happened..

    definitely not an official release

    quote:
It has come to our attention that a non-final version of the 1.4 patch has surfaced on the web. Please note that this is NOT the final version of 1.4, and it WILL NOT be compatible with the final version of 1.4. We strongly recommend that you do not install it. If you have installed it, our suggestion is that you reinstall BF 1942.

Stay tuned to the official Battlefield 1942 website for our regularly scheduled community update this Friday.
