quake 2 tweaks

    yep, ive dragged quake 2 out of the depths of the games mound.
    but i have alittle problem.

    its too darn dark!

    ive trawled the depths of the interweb, and i cannot seem to find anything that will brighten up my little game.
    anyone out there remember how to brighten the game at all?

    ive played with the gamma settings, but thats not it, so if anyone can see their way to dragging out old configs or something, id appreciate it

    lower vid_gamma
    increase intensity
    increase gl_modulate (how much light sources affect walls objects etc around them)

    you need a vid restart after any of these to get the true effect,

    you can get brighter skins/objects by increasing gl_modulate to something big ie 7000 and not doing a restart.

    lo Eamo, I've still got an old 16mb voodoo 2 lyin around somewhere if your interested ;) The card of choice for the quake2 gamer if I remember

    Tried playin it myself a while back on gforce an it sucked ... gimme a shout if ya get it sorted, we'll find a server somewhere an give her a lash wha!!!
