SLA RPG - StoryLine

    forgot to mention to everyone that has never played before its pronounced "slay" Industries.

    The story sofar.....

    without giving too much away as the game hasn't actually started yet.

    The basic storyline is that the player are raw, new recruits fresh from the SLA training Facility at Meny. There new in the big Bad world of SLA industries trying to make a name for themselves and get rich and famous as early as possible without getting killed in the process.

    As for the storyline of game currently the players are all sitting in a downtown bar in Mort city called "the pit" with next to no money they ponder where there next meal ticket is going to come from.............


    I'll update this thread more as the story progresses


    PLEASE NOTE:

    im asking that no one post on this thread please its only for me the DM to let the players and the general world at large know how are brave players are coping in the world of SLA

    So it would seem that its another wet rainy day on MORT and the Op's are having none of it they barely trust each other and its painful obvious that there going to have to work together for now to make some cash. After just graduating from SLA's premier training Faculty (Meny), it would seem the Op's aren't really in a celebrating mood and like all professional Operatives that came before them there really only interested in one thing
    getting rich and powerful fast. So after a very brief appearance at there own graduation it would seem that the squad is on there way to a place called the slayers crib.

    Not much is known about the slayers crib but it would seem that it is THE place to go for Op's to get BPN's (missions) but is the squad tough enough or good enough to get a BPN at slayers crib well that remains to be seen.........

    So it would seem that the Squad have made it to the Slayers Crib without getting killed so thats a start. A dark forboding place it boars into the soul just looking at the place. A criss cross of corridors rooms and Giant halls where thousands of Ops are all waiting there turn to get a taste at some action. The que looks like a continious line of people that streches forever and ever. as the squads regroups to join the que little do they know there first live BPN lurks right around the corner

    So after a brief spell at the Slayer pit (say about 12 hours) our operative team have snagged themselves a BPN (mission)
    it would seem that after voting from a choice of 4 missions since they dont have a C.O. just yet. The majority seem to want to opt for a retreval mission. (mission 2 from the game turn thread)

    There mission is to go to a space station above mort and babysit (cough) i mean oversee the safe delivery of Science equipmet and personal to a military airforce base outside mort city in the wastelands. how hard can that be...........

    Well isnt that nice in an intrest to try and place nice all the op's went back to the Slayers pit for a drink and try to get along together (see SLA - The pit Thread for more info)

    and they all voted on a squad leader so isnt that nice with the deadline fast approaching for a green light mission the Op's head back to there various appartments to catch what ever remaining hours of nights sleep that is left tomorrow morning the fun begins.........

    [i been sick for a little while apologies for not updating sooner]

    well well. the Operatives have managed to get along quite nicely at the PIT there seemed to fit in quite well. The next morning bright and early the operatives have all met in MORT's space port and have met there contact only identifing themselves as
    "G-man" (ok ok i know dont say a thing)

    The operatives have also been introduced to a scientist called Dr Raynes a SCL10A from the station who it seems they will be guarding along with the research equipment down from the space station.

    The Operatives have now all boared the ship and are awaiting take off and are at this moment partolling the various decks of the ship for signs of trouble.........

    i hope none of the players get air sick!!!

    3-2-1 Blast off. The engines roar into life and its up up and away
    high into the sky as they hurtle into space

    The graivity drive kicks in its time for the Operatives to move with squall at the helm as squad leader time for a few qucik patrol's of the 5 or so shuttle decks to make sure everything is ok before docking with the space station...........

    After a Few short seconds of G's the players are hurtled into cold emptiness of space ETA to the station 16 mins(game time. The operatives seems to skulk around for a bit and the Stormer seems to think there's something suspect about 3 wraith raiders hanging about in passenger area 1 the squad havent really moved from the passenger area's accept Tal' eania the brain waster who is at this moment wandering around the decks of the shuttle

    the Wraith raiders seem to be minding there own busniess and not causing any trouble just yet so it seems the squad will choose to ignore them until they become a problem.

    Well after an uneventful space flight the Operatives find themselves aboard the space station greeted by a sad looking group of individuals.

    they operatives are introduced to there guide for the time they are aboard the station to everyones surprise its the very wraith raiders the squad were watching. As they players meet there new member they are taken to the command deck and told that the package wont be ready for some time yet due to its reactive nature to ebb.

    The squad decided to split up the first half of the squad are going to secure (and are almost there) while the other half are going to check the stealth ship out, they had only just started to move as the Grav and power drives suddenly died the emergency Grav drive and lighting kicked in.

    The captian of the aurora has sent a security team to investigate the mysterious sourroundings of the techinal faults plauging the station. as for the operatives who knows whats going to happen next.........

    Apologies for not updating sooner (like anyone is really reading this!!) ive been mentally busy with the game,

    The Squad have been Divided into 2 Teams, the Ebb users into one team and all the combat experts on the other team. After some....errr....debating it was decided that team 1 go after the stealth ship (the ebb users) and team 2 stay and guard the Science crew and Equipment,

    Team 1 were met by a squad of 5 Darknight terrorists (and after a bit of miscalcuation from the DM - sorry sorry sorry sorry) the result was that 5 heavily armed terrorists against 3 ebb users wasnt really a fair fight so in the first combat round all 3 ebb users focused there abilities into one area and a blast of enegry ripped the cargo bay apart.

    Team 2 were met by a smaller less fortunate group of darknight terrorists and after a very lucky roll from tank he tossed a flashbang in there direction some very very unlucky rolls for the terrorists followed resulting in 90% of the attacking force being stunned by the flashbang! a massive firefight ensued, team 2 managed to kill all but one of the terrorists they captured the remaining terrorist alive (which has become a bone of contention among the team as some of the team want to cap the terrorist now while others want to wait).

    Information was extracted from the terrorist and now the team have learned that there mabye more terrorists on the station. The team are about ready to move out as now Dr Raynes has told the team that the package has been delievered to the cargo bay in the docking ring and the science crew need to be safe guarded while on the way to the cargo bay.

    this is where is getting a little fupped up, things get a little outta hand from here on

    The debate Rages on in the team weather or not to off there captive, in the mean time Squall has made an exucitive decision and the team are on the way to the docking ring Via the BIO labs just to make sure that there are no trace elements of darknight terrorists hanging about.

    Byuu did a flying sweep of the area and COMS Squall to say he found nothing, the team again split up and were going to rendvous at the lifts to the docking ring. and at some point each team met the remenants of the darknight terrorists,

    however ever they managed to get away both times. the team now assumes that the darknight terrorists have taken the lift to the docking ring and are trying to find a way off the station. Zmek's just come up with an idea to.......well......for lack of a better word cause an accident on the station (blow some of it up) to force all non critial personall off the station thus leaving the only ones left on the station the SLA Op's the Dark night terrorists and key science crews and repair teams.

    Will Squall go for the idea? well who knows we'll have to wait and see..........

    After much debating the team finally agree to go with Zmek's plan to cause minor explosions around the station to cause all non essential station personal to evacuate, this seemed like a good plan and zmek did his part. with expert care, skill and precision zmek planted mini explosive charges in some of the stations non critical systems, when the explosions rip through the station the station commander thinks the station is being attacked and orders a full station Evac (what the players don't realize is that the station commander is actually right) in the ensuing moments the stealth ship that was seen previously is making bombing runs at the aurora hitting it again and again with a salvo of missile attacks. this coupled with the damage done by zmek to the secondary systems the station seems doomed.

    The squad regroup and the plan now seems to be escape as simple as that screw hunting Darknight along the corridors of a crumbling station there going home. The science crew load the package up into the ship and the squad make there way to the cargo bay, of course the remaining of the Darknight terrorists are thinking the exact same thing and they are already in the cargo bay wondering how the heck to get off the station in the same moment that the operatives enter the cargo bay. as the squad breaks up into various teams to try to sneak through the cargo bay the stealth ship makes another strafing run the teams are about half way across the cargo bay as the stealth ship makes a critical hit on the station destroying the bottom 3 decks of the station and damaging the station beyond repair. As the squad are thrown about the cargo bay in the explosion the teams are told by the captain that they have 12 mins to evac the station as it will go critical and explode, the team make a bolt for sulako as shots ring around them from an unknown direction, it seems there is a sniper somewhere in the cargo bay that wounds 2 of the science crew and hit tank a few times. Tank making a good guess figures out (with a few lucky dice rolls) that the sniper is in the ceiling the squad shoot him down from his perch as he plunges screaming to his death. The team reach the sulako and escape from the station as they reach minimum safe distance the station is destroyed.

    After a few breath taking minutes the space station explodes in a multi billion credit fireworks display leaving no survivors on the station. In the aftermath of the explosion the squad can see the stealth ship closing in on the fast and so a chase begins back to earth with the darknight terrorist ship fully cloaked and in persuit mode it starts to fire on the helpless sulako, after a few hits the ship is hailed and told deliver the cargo in an escape pod immediatly or else the ship will be destroyed.

    After some debating amongst the team (which i find has happened before in a crisis situation they talk first then act!!! meh!) so its decided that squall, tank, gaunt, byuu and zmek will put the package in the escape pod along with some science personall and go along with them and try to take the stealth ship by force!!!
