    ah if it was Irish Beef, you might be more tolerant;)

    Seems a real Char nice bloke to me. Plenty of bland characters in golf.

    Okay even his mother calls him Beef apparently but that merely begs the question as to whether his father calls him Beef as well. Hope they clear that mystery up on the next hole.

    Wha ? :confused:

    English : check
    Journeyman who has won nothing of note : check
    Adopts 'just glad to be here' air : check
    Up the leaderboard of his 'home' Open : check
    Smiles : check
    Down to earth unpolished interviewee : check
    On Sky, so looking for any cheap angle to talk up : check
    Nickname : check. And bonus points for a unique and odd one. And double bonus points for one the crowd can hoot.

    => is a 'character'.

    The guy's got it all.

    Looks like me (bit of weight round the middle)........check
    Looks like he enjoys his golf......check
    Comes across as honest.....check
    Lack of ego.......check
    Likes to get hammered when he wins......check
    Is not a dour, narky or an automaton......check

    To me he comes across as a lad who can't believe his luck and is still rooted in where he came from.......he looks like he's out for a game with his mates and that he can't believe no one has caught him out and told him to get lost!

    Has the prospect of being an absolute epic back 9.

    Am on Stenson for the fact he's been the best over the back 9 all week but needless to say it's a different test today, even in such clement weather. Looks a mere case of who blinks first the way they're both playing.

    If Phil plays well - don't think Henrik will have head for it.

    Now at the moment he looks very cool - like he was in Ryder cup 2014.

    class stuff.

    But never trust a Swede in the lead.

    I fully expect that to be quoted back if the slow one wins.
