Its a real shame the battle system is a load of nonsense. The Dodge doesnt even work properly so you are better off randomly tapping to attack and then randomly attempting to swipe.

There is zero skill or tactics involved. A real missed opportunity.

Ya I'm only level 12 and I'm wasting 3 or 4 balls on very low cp mons every time now. Oftentimes they escape too. This has to be a bug surely? Why on earth would they be harder to catch as I increase in level?

Something they can fix for the future. I've tried dodging before and got one successful evade. But yes, it's more about DPS and tapping quickly than anything else.

The type advantage for attacks is only 1.25x for super effective instead of 2x like the other pokemon games.

Don't bother trying to dodge the quick skills, just dodge when they use their secondary "nuke" - they're relatively easy to dodge.

Why they didn't just bring over the turn based attacks from the main game is still puzzling. Especially seeing as the thing they have now is a mess.

I noticed this too. Though the most I've thrown is 5 I'd say.
More annoyingly when I use the Razz to apparently make it easier to catch one, the throw starts curving off to the right, it's really weird.

How do you get like really high cp pokemon the highest i caught so far was like a 360cp machoke and that was a rare so i cant even catch enough to power him up, i managed find a yellow gym and got my highest evolved pigey into it but he is only like 437 and i have been going out for 2-3 hour walks doing thing for the last few days and im only lvl 9 and im almost out of balls i dont get enough from pokestops.

If you dodge when there is a yellow flash you dodge every time. The defender attacks twice at the very start so just dodge twice.

I presume I'm doing it wrong but every time I dodge I end up with my character blocking out the enemy so I can't hit it. It's such a panic in the future I don't know how your supposed to be able to tell what's going on and react to it

Yeh loads of people saying their quite rare i caught 11 in the phoenix Park on Saturday and have Hatched 2 from 10k eggs have all 3 evolves now all over 1000 CP

But have not seen a single Ekans , Charmander , Peekachu or Bulbasoar , which are supposed to be common enough and you can hatch from 2k which i must have done about 30 of at this stage.

Whats best way to get a beedrill? I am currently maximg out a weedle before i evolve it. Only one or 2 more points to go. The weedle is about 120. Will this work into a high cp beedrill or do i just have to catch a 400 weedle or something?

Hatched an ekans from an 5km egg and caught another yesterday at a lure at dun laoghaire, also caught my first pikachu. Have hatched a bulbasaur from an egg but have ever even seen shadows for Charmander

So I'm level 17, and still haven't gotten a SINGLE 10km egg. It's so annoying and it would just be my luck that when I get one I'll get an eevee or something...

There're different servers used to login depending on how you signed, i.e. using your Google account or via Pokemon Trainers Club. PTC seems to be the one that's down.

You've hatched 2km and 5km eggs though, right? You don't seem to get any eggs unless you've space to hold them. If your bag is full of unhatched 2km & 5km then you won't get any 10km ones.

I know that and I've hatched all my 2k eggs by now and free'd up space only to fill it up with more 5k eggs... Every time I get some space I just get another 5k so it's extremely frustrating.

I'm level 18 and only got my first one the other day. I'll probably get a pidgey out of it. :pac:

Level 14 and got my first 10km egg yesterday. Got a flat tyre on the way home so made lemonade by walking off the remaining 4k. All the way home the tracker showed two review which if course never showed up. Guess what was in the egg? Still need to find about three to evolve a vaporeon.

Ekans are fairly common here but I've never seen a Drowzee, even a silhouette or on Pokevision anyway in France. There's a survey on Reddit about what stuff is common where which makes interesting reading. Pity the folks who have to drive half an hour to find a Pidgee while there are 100 species in Central Park!

Just got a kabuto from a 10km egg. Must be rare enough?
Got 22 candies from just catching the one too, only need 50 to evolve so gotta catch/hatch 2 more.
