Intreo Advisory Follow-Up Meeting?

    Hey all,

I recently was unable to attend a JobPath information session and, despite the fact that I contacted and notified the company involved well in advance, I have now received a letter from Intreo informing me that I need to attend an 'advisory follow-up meeting' with an 'officer' in their (Intreo's) local office later this week; due to my supposed 'failure to attend'.

Has anyone here had to attend a meeting such as this and what should I expect?

I've never had a meeting like this before so any and all information that you could provide will be very gratefully received indeed.

    Thanks in advance!

So does anyone have any insight into this process or what the potential outcome might be if they decide to be awkward WRT me being unable to attend the meeting?

Or even a slightly better understanding of just what to expect in a meeting like this?

TBH, I'm really rather nervous about this, so any insight at all that someone could provide would be a great help.

As you know the Jobseekers Payment is based on being available for full time work, so definitely best if you can bring bring something with you to back up/document the reason you were unable to attend the session.

as long as you bring along confirmation that you were unavailable, appointment confirmation, interview details etc you will be fine, their not out to get you so as long as you go by the rules and tell them why you didnt attend you will be fine.
    their just following up.

Yeah, I'm aware of the conditions for receiving jobseekers etc. and that shouldn't apply here IMO; as they were both informed in advance that I wouldn't be able to attend, and why - so the rules were followed as far as I'm aware.

Which is why it seems strange to me that there's even a need for this meeting, hence the apprehension on my part.
But, as you said, it could just be a standard follow-up. I certainly hope so.

Thanks anyway for your responses Balagan & livedadream, they are appreciated!
