Calf reluctant to eat concentrate

    As above ,I have a calf 5 and a half months old that is reluctant to eat concentrate.She is sucking mother but want to get her eating a small bit to prepare for weaning her at say the end of September.I have offered her nuts,blend etc but is showing no interest in either.Any ideas?

    Give her time and a nice cooked ration

    Hunger a good sauce try cutting the cow of her a bit might help.

    leave the calf as is and wean straight into the ring. let next person worry about meal intake

    Now I know ill be given out to but its the easiest solution
    *not a suckler farmer so have never taken this route*

    Leave her away from the mother for 24 hours and leave her with calf meal (not the adult meal, the calf blend does be much sweeter), and perhaps try a bit of molasses on top to see will it get her interested?
