    Hi Everyone
I recently got engaged last month and am just starting out on the hunt for the perfect venue. I am not really to sure where to start to be honest and hoping to get some recommendations.
We would like to get married in our church in Dublin but have the reception outside of Dublin max 1 hour drive. We would love somewhere that is exclusive to us for that weekend and we know this will probably add to the price tag, rough numbers are looking at about 140 mark.
Anyone have any recommendations or can point me in the direction of finding lists of venues etc I would be most grateful!!
    Thank you!

We're getting married in February 2018 and we booked Boyne Hill House in Navan, have a look, it's wonderful, full of character. There are a lot of places similar to that. We were looking at Anglers Rest too but was too small for us. Just use Google 😉

can you help us out with a budget?

Real exclusive venues are usually north of 100-110 a head plus booking fees.

Are you looking for 2 day exclusivity? Because that will cost you

Got married in Bellingham Castle in September and it was amazing from start to finish. The decor, food and attention to detail is just incredible and nothing is any trouble. Def worth emailing them and arranging to pop in to view the place and have a chat with them. Can't say enough good things! Pm if you want any further info :)

Boyne Hill House, Navan is fab. Durhamstown Castle, also near Navan is quirky but fab. The Millhouse in Slane is stunning. A new one near Duleek called Mount Hanover is going to be another stunning venue.

Thanks for the suggestions have definitely added some of them to my list.

2 day exclusivity is out of budget so definitely not what we were looking for. I think I have a much better idea now, I kind of panicked earlier in the week there just seemed so many didn't really know where to start!

Darver Castle, near Ardee. Lovely spot.

Just to add another one. Station House in Kilmessan.
It's not exclusive but I found it didn't matter (I was dead set on exclusivity!!) It's a small venue with only one wedding a day. Very few people in the bar that weren't part of the wedding.
