You probably had the average consumption on before, and have now changed it to instantaneous.

I've a Renault grand scenic 1.5 dci and recently the control on computer dashboard has been shooting up and down... It's says current L/100 and numbers go from 0-20... Used to never move before but lately it's been all over place... Do I have something to worry about or am I just being stupid??

If you're in traffic then your current l/100km will fluctuate as you accelerate/drive/brake. Sounds normal to me. I suspect you may have accidentally switched it from average to current/instantaneous.

There should be two different measurements in trip computer. One is instant fuel consumption which will spike like that depending on how much you push the pedal down and other one is average. I think you are looking for average.

The trip computer most likely has two fuel consumption measuring gauges - one for average consumption while the other is instantaneous consumption. It's very likely you just accidentally switched between one and the other. It should be easy enough to switch it back.
