How have Friday nights changed for you?

When i was in school Friday nights had that appeal of letting the foot off the gas, later bedtime all rolling into Saturday, smells of Friday night dinner and the sounds of the late late jingle.
Now i rarely hear that jingle and the weekends don't seem to be any less busy that the weekdays.
Now they involve flicking the channels, having a beer or two and then thinking i could have spend this time better.

Friday nights how have they changed for you?

    The romance is gone.

    Dead under a starlit sky.

All hopes of future greatness dashed unto the unlit pavings of damp streets that will always guide us capriciously homewards.

    That or a few pints.

Well "they" say you should do one thing everyday that scares you.

Well! I just spent the last 40 minutes playing resident evil 2 (remake)
and well "THEY" don't know what the fu*k they are talking about.

I'm currently scared sh1tless every time I open a door and it creeks :)

    :)

Childhood Friday nights are a distant memory and they weren't much fun for various reasons. My 20s and 30s was all about going out, partying, dating etc; it took a lot of energy and wouldn't be able for it nowadays. These days I prefer to sit home, drinking a good bottle of wine and watching whatever Netflix has to offer... not a bad way to spend Friday night.

I used to go out and end up not getting me hole.

Now that I’m married...I stay in and end up not getting me hole..

I have work at 6.30am on a Saturday morning so it's bed early on Friday nights. It's a bit frustrating because Friday is my only day off and I can't really do any evening/night activities.

I waited a long time before getting it and only got it for someone else but have to admit it's great. It's got a very eclectic range of films, documentaries and series. Just watched a good documentary; Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck.

Used to be a takeaway on Friday nights or at least a frozen pizza, along with Something from Xtra-Vision.

Then I got older and Friday nights were all about cans in the field and fingering young-wans.

Then it was pints after work and life regrets.

Now it's Netflix, a dressing gown and wine.

I still do now (pushing 40) what I did in my teens: drive recklessly, pick up hookers, kill people for fun.

Relax, copper. I mean I still play GTA.

Also Sometimes I turn on the late late show, then wonder why the feck i did, and watch something else ,anything else.

Well I did buy some beer but I managed to fall asleep on the couch before I had the notion to open it. Managed to drag my half dozed self up to bed just after 10 o’clock. Then I’m awake and on boards before 6am. Rock and roll lifestyle, kids!

No I still go out most Friday nights. Not that going out is wild or anything - pub or friend's house.

Saturday night is my night in the vast majority of the time, apart from going for dinner occasionally.
