As long as they're not still there.

Sure, why not? It would be illogical to move out because of such a thing.

The last owners husband died in my house. Didnt know until I was 6 years in the house.

Doesnt bother me, except Ive banged the wife a few times on the spot where he croaked it.

    Good times.

I lived in apartment before where the previous owner was murdered, it was all over the newspapers etc pretty gruesome. It did creep me out for quite a while but I stayed there and moved out eventually

Unless your house is brand new then I think you will find most houses somebody has potentially died in it

Ok just to ramp it up, would you live in say the Hawe house, knowing what went on previously?

It's a bit like people buying seats/ interior for there car from scrapyard. Do you know if your sitting in seat someone died in .

Clothes in second hand shop , do you know for sure you are walking around in clothes someone died in or only wore the days leading up to death.

I dont want to say to much but a local lady died and her child and I know soon after people moved in ....lifes cheap ...

It's the evil bastard who murdered his wife clodagh and his three young children.

Thoughts of it are a bit weird alright. The sites where Jastine Valdez were abducted and dumped are both (roughly) on one of my cycling routes, for a long time I got a shiver down my spine every time I passed Pucks Castle Lane.
I think you'd just have a sadness about ye living there from knowing what happened there.

All jokes aside I have seen this firsthand. Seen/felt/watched things that cant be explained and I am a normal functioning person I swear! And I didnt know the history of the place til after the things that happened.

A dwelling is a place in space and time that at that particular time is surrounded by a roof and walls. a thousand years from now your house might be a lake. Before and after are irrelevant.

First they came for the socialists...

Whilst I dont believe in paranormal stuff, I know certain things can play tricks on your mind. Might be aswell in that situation to get a priest in and give a few blessings, drop him a tenner

If you knew the history I'd be inclined to think you somehow created the unexplained things to happen but seeing as you didn't know the history - that's creepy. Glad the blessing worked.

My husband and I stayed in a B&B in France years ago and the wardrobe, which was clicked tightly shut, just opened by itself three times during the night. We were really scared and spent most of the night sitting up looking at it. Funny things we had arrived at 2 o clock and it never opened at all during daylit hours !

Im sure it was creepy but you could explain that by a weakly fastened latch, i.e the pressure on the latch from the door was too much so it kept popping open but i can see why that might be unsettling

Yeah, most likely some logical reason. We thought maybe the house cooled down at night and the wood contracted or something but the fright we got when this thing started to creeeeeek open. And it really needed a bit of oil.

But about the Op, I wouldn't buy a house where an awful tragedy eg murder had happened, for any price but if I found out at a later stage, I'd stay put (unless things were going bump in the night).
