    Hey,

Need to replace the front driver side wing on my car. I found a non-OEM replacement wing online that comes in primed in grey primer. Just wondering how much I should be roughly looking to pay to get it sprayed? Car is an E60 BMW.

    Cheers.

I used these guys to get an already painted wing for my e46 which is silver.

It looks like they have a lot of different colours available, and for me the match was really good. You might notice if you got really close, but I was very impressed.

They get a thumbs up from me anyway. Any panel beater/paint shop will tell you that they need to blend the paint with the adjoining panels which is completely true and necessary as it is very difficult to 100% paint match an older car. But if on a budget these guys works out really well. I plan on washing the e46 this evening or tomorrow so I'll post pictures to show what I got.

And they can rust badly too after a few years. A secondhand genuine wing would be a better option.

Its generally better to have a body shop source the replacement wing with their expertise and experience. Spurious wings bought online can be a nightmare in terms of alignment when fitted.

For a bodyshop to do the Job including sourcing, fitting and paint matching the wing probably €300-500

I paid under 300 for the whole job, including paint job, was an E39 not an E60 but still. They all come primed because your car and its paint is aged and no longer matches the original. The bodyshop guys will match it to your car's actual shade of the colour.

Found a breaker local enough that has a wing in carbon black he said I can have for free as it's also damaged but might be repairable. Here's some pics he sent me of it. Reckon it's repairable/cheaper than getting another and re-spraying?
Only reason I'm considering it is because he said it's free :pac:
