You can save around 70% of the cost of- paying through the nose - for a new B&W or Colour Inkjet cartridge for your printer.

By puchasing top quality industry standard ink, supplied in patented "Ink-Kits" direct online from:- www.jrinkjet.co.uk
The Kits come in various sizes depending upon your needs and are *Universal meaning that they can refill around 95% of brand name cartridges.

There's a company on the navan road that do the same thing called Cartridge World

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,797 ✭✭✭Paddy20

    Repli,

How do you know it is the same thing as the worldwide patented system, and how about price comparisons?..

Do not knock it, until you have tried it!, and all that.

I meant there's a company that refills your cartridges for cheap instead of having to buy new ones every time

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,797 ✭✭✭Paddy20

    Repli,

Now, that is different. A company that refills your cartridges for cheap!. Have they got a name!, or online *website link, to prices per cartridge, etc, please ?.. as I would love to know how much they charge.

You see I live in Donegal, and I have not got a clue where this Navan Road is!, a little more info would be a great help.

    Thanks.

The shop name is "Cartridge World" (as Repli said above). They've one in Limerick as well.

I can't find any reference on the JRInkjet site to a "worldwide patent". Any chance of posting a link to this info as there's no mention of it in the Recharger archive either and they usually keep up to date on these things.

There are plenty of online companies that supply reliable compatible cartridges at reasonable prices - shoicestationery, theinkfactory, ink4europe, MX2, 7dayshop. Some of them have free delivery to Ireland. UKInkjet have poor customer service plus they spam so I'd stay away from them. Refilling your own cartridges can be messy to be honest but to each his own. I tend to buy the compatibles and send back the old ones to be recycled.

    sceptre,

I personally have always bought jrinkjetefill kits from: qvcuk.com
when they feature their products at special QVC prices, that way I save even more.

The "Worldwide Patents" info is always featured on the live PC hardware & software products shows when they demonstate just how easy it is too refill your own cartridges instead of being *Ripped-Off again. The details are also on the literature sent out with their kits, must have a look around here for the literature. Or you could always ask www.jrinkjet.co.uk
    yourself.

I have not got a clue what the Recharger archive is but I will try looking it up!.

Yes, I have in the past bought *Compatible cartridges, from various suppliers in an effort too cut my printing costs, but I have found that a large part of the price is for the "actual cartridge". Which I do not need as I can refill my own much cheaper up to *7 times on average, before the heads begin too wear out. Then I buy a Compatible cartridge which then gets re-filled again and again. Most of these companies will even pay you a good price for your *Empty brand name cartridges!, thereby confirming their value in hard cash terms. Recycling as you state you do, is imho just throwing away more good money after bad, but I suppose if you are wealthy, etc.

i work for the injection moulding company that produces these cartridges.. and i'll have to go back on the dole if you stop buying cartridges.... bo hooo hoooo

nah seriously the prices are fookin mad.. as i make them i know how much of a mark up is on them being sold in the shops... you wouldent believe me if i told you the half of it...

    sceptre,

Note, I found that Recharger archive website thanks. It has an interesting article hihglighted on the front homepage entitled:- " ERS: Filling Empty Cartridge needs for the *Remanufacturing Industry. It even confirms that companies are sourcing empty cartridges by buying them from anyone all over the world!.

For the benefit of those who might be interested in Recharger archive here is the website link: www.rechargermag.com
    Enjoy?..

    Macker Eire,

Er I never said I didn't get anything for them. Read it again properly. The return value of the remanufactured cartridges doesn't really make it worth it though (it's between a tenth and a fifth of the return value of an original cartridge).

I went to "Cartridge World" and wasn't that cheap.

    At the moment my supply comes from here;

Got Epson Chip reprogramer shipped to Dublin. Very good service

err dunno what all this worldwide patent ****e is about, sounds like marketing crap to me... theres literally hundreds if not thousands of companies offering remanufactured cartridges and toners.

Anyway another decent (irish) site .. based in cork afaik is http://www.9to6.ie I've ordered a few items from them for work and they've all worked grand (and got fairly good returns).

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,797 ✭✭✭Paddy20

    Kali,

Clearly you have not read my first post on this thread. I am talking about the fact that people can save a small fortune by " RE-FILLING " their own inkjet Cartridges with industry standard ink supplied in kits.

Instead of buying "re-manufactured" cartridges in an attempt too save money on the rip-off prices charged for brand name inkjet cartridges.

Please, re-read even the "title" of this thread, then if you do not understand the message, then you really do have a problem.

AFAIK, I cannot use refillers as my Epson C62 has a sort of chip on each cartridge, which doesnt allow for refilling. Maybe someone can clarify?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,143 ✭✭✭spongebob

You need to reset the chip while refilling it. See this page Here about refill and reset kits for epson carts.

    Well, Byte
If you really stock you can use my reseting kit for Epson printer.

in longer run you can order one from here:

As macker siad the mark up on these cartridges is mad,i work in HP and i can buy any HP cartridge for 6 euro.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,797 ✭✭✭Paddy20

    Cosworth,

Are you serious. HP staff only pay €6 !, is that for the B&W or Colour ?.. That is really very revealing, about what a Rip-Off the retail price is. The media should be informed about this, its real News* for heavens sake.

    LFCFan,

I can not understand why you have not put the money saver ;- www.jrinkjet.co.uk
    on the RipOFFIreland .Org
    Website?...

False economy if you ask me. They tell you that its green to use refilled ink cartridges but I have thrown twice as many away because they didnt work properly or the ink was poor quality.
If you need perfect quality especially with higher end printers buy original ink cartridges and toner cartridges. I only buy genuine printer cartridges now, had too many nightmares with compatible printer cartridges

First time, this thread came back 5 years later... now it comes back less than 2 years after that....

At this rate, if it's not killed this time we'll have to deal with it again this coming spring. By 2018 we'll be dealing with over 500 resurgences every hemi-second.
