Hi everyone. I'm moving county in a few weeks, for a longtime voluntary gig where I volunteer two days a week and rest of the week I look for work. I'll be staying in a few hostels but I was wondering about how to use An Post's Address Point service. What do I use as proof of address? How would I go about doing this - would I go to the jobseekers office of my current county, tell them I'm moving and use the address point, or would I go to the jobseekers office after moving and then use the address point?

If you are on a jobseekers payment, you will need to get permission to volunteer from social welfare if you intend to hold onto your jobseeker's payment. I suggest you go to your local SW office and talk to them about your plans before you take it further.

Sorry to dig up an oldish thread but how does the proof of address thing work with Address Point? I understand that Address Point is for the homeless to access correspondance. But if you register an address with Welfare they will require a proof of address....so how is this scheme working at all?
